A qualifying purchase is a purchase which may qualify to earn SMC Points under the terms of a specific reward offer. Generally, a qualifying purchase is a purchase from a business identified in a reward offer as a participating business, through a linked payment card. In addition, each reward offer has its own terms stating what will be considered as a qualifying purchase for that reward offer.  For example,  a reward offer might require a minimum of a $1 purchase at a in qualifying business.
